Jack,I'm sorry to hear of your experience. I purchased a car from a list member and my 1st day out with it, I got smacked. In the process of dealing with the insurance company, a year long struggle, I was pleased with their valuation of the car after pressing the issue into the ground with them.
For a valuation for your '73, please look at these links, http://www.nadaguides.com and http://www.manheimgold.comand fill in the appropriate data. For a '73 4dr LeBaron, prices range from about $2000-8500. There is a formula the insurance company uses, and after the other guy's insurance company realized that I knew the value of my car based on the data from these links and a couple of other sources, I received a fair valuation. I avoided working with my insurance agent and worked only with the other guy's company. I'm not sure if this worked for or against me, but I got a fair price.
Best wishes on this new endeavor and sorry to hear it happened. Early this morning my '73 Lebaron was hit by a very intoxicated
citizen in a honda at suprisingly high speed (given the damage to my car). ----------------- http://www.imperialclub.com -----------------This message was sent to you by the Imperial Mailing List.
