Re: IML: 81-83 Imps digital dash features

I guess I'm in for a lot of fun come spring. I bought my 81 a month ago and parked it for the winter. Will start work in the spring. Engine has been changed and now sports a 2 bbl. carb. I know this wasn't a factory conversion. Good thing I located a set of factory manuals. GASP!

The factory conversion kit included a substitute fuel flow meter so that the digital dash features should all still work.  However, these substitute fuel flow meters often are not working after a few years.  They are probably not impossible to fix, but I don?t know of anyone who bothered to do it.

Hi all     I have question about the 81's. If the car was converted by Chrysler to a carb will the Trip Comp stuff on the dash still work, or is it dead?

Thanks
