I don't think 6 volt systems used resistors.

Subject: IML: 6 volt coil- resistor?

Hello-

Does the 1955 6 volt coil use an external resistor? Or does the coil have an internal resistor?

If external, where would it be mounted-on the intake manifold next to the coil? Application is for a 1955 Imperial. I think I need a coil, but not sure what to buy-
