IML: AT at stop: N or D ?

Hi all,

We're debating on our french forum about Automatic Transmission
and especially what to do when you stop (at a red light or "stop &
go" heavy traffic) for a while ?
1- Put the trans in N
2- Leave the trans in D
Some say you must put in N to avoid increase of ATF fluid, other
say to rest in D to avoid multiple engaging of clutches-band which
can wear them..

I'll forward your opinions on my bulletin board

Thanks
