Re: IML: 60-63 interior door handle breakage fix ?



Perhaps, compared to the rest of the car, the handles are a bit fragile. I wonder if Chrysler ever thought many people would still have all these cars 40 plus years later?

I've always owned at least one 60-63 since 1969. I can't recall breaking more then 2 in that length of time. I've seen many that were broken & some of the cars I purchased had 1 or 2 broken.

I also have considered that maybe it was'nt flexing but brute force instead,
but in either case they still tend to break, and there will always be
passengers who are a bit rough on them. With all the superior quality parts chrysler
made for these cars, I cant figure out why they did'nt make the handles solid
in the first place instead of hollow.
