IML: 1990 Imperial starting problem

Hi;

I have a 1990 Imperial mark cross edition. I have a question. The car will not start. The battery is up and I do not think it is the starter. I believe it has something to do with the viper alarm system.

I removed the alarm horn from the engine area a while back. I think the alarm system is engaging as the small red dash light that is usually stays on steady is flashing which makes me believe the alarm is engaging which of course I cannot hear as the alarm horn has been removed. If the alarm is engaged on these cars will it not allow the car to start?

Has the key chain entry button that automatically engages the locks and sets the alarm lost its programming and if so how do I reestablish it?

Can the alarm be bypassed to allow the car to start?

Thanks

Anthony
