Gary, You'll have to have yours rebuilt. Your local auto parts store can send it off for you. The place they send it to is  http://www.rareparts.com/index2.html   It'll cost you a little over $200 depending on what your local auto parts store socks you to send it out. If you're REALLY lucky you might find an NOS one. ( Chrysler part number 2835853 ) The only place I found an NOS one was Mitchel's and he wanted $279.  No, an idler arm from a newport, or other "lesser" Chrysler product won't work, they're shorter. Don't try it, it's already been tried by others on this list and it doesn't work, also the bushing kit you find for it for a few bucks at the local parts store ain't gonna fix your problem-it's only for one end.

            My name is Gary and I am a proud owner of a 1972 imperial that is in need of a idler arm, which if my memory serves me right these are next to impossible to get. I think I remember seeing some discussion on this as to where you can send these in for rebuilding.

            If anyone has any ideas please let me know I would really appreciate it. Now that the winter is over now is not the time to be broke down. HELP!!!!
