Another option might be to drill out the pin openings and install a bushing. For my '68 Barracuda, I went with Acme rebuilt door hinges. They have a hollow stainless pin with a grease fitting so you can lube the hinges. I don't know if he's done the conversion on earlier cars, but it might be worth looking into.
