Re: IML: cracking wheelsd due to radials?

I also. have radials on my 64. I have never had a problem with them. My other 64 which I purchased from my Neightbor has radials on it also. He drove the car daily till the engine quit. Over 200,000 miles There are no cracked rims on it either. I  don't want to start a rant about Bias vs Radials again! That is a whole different subject. If your rims are cracking there is something else amiss here. The wheels on our beloved Imperials are made of material 2 times the thickness of todays wheels. I have a 3/4 ton truck riding on Aluminum wheels which I have loaded to the Max with no problems. I would look for rusting or something else. Just my 2 cents.
