Re: IML: 67 Imperial one of 19- rear a/c, not rear defog

hello, in reading the post on the subject I have come to a conclusion that although in most states that sold the imperials with either rear heat or rear air, most dealers would opt for all the goodys in hope to entise a few more buyers that happen to stumble onto the car lot and not looking for anything in perticular.
2 days ago , my wife had decided that because I bought the 59 imperial to restore , that she wanted a new car, so we went down to the local dealer to see what was on the lot. and thats when I realised that times have not changed much after all. they dealer had orderd several new 2005 cars whith all options and a few that were all plain. my wife was sold , and guess who has to pay for it?
so back to my point, that maybe more than just a few imperials were orderd with all options, and maybe a few were with basic's. it wouldnt supprise me that if most cars sold at the begining of each production year was sold by a dealer with front and rear air or heat, so that when a customer was shoping around could easily be persuaded to fork over the cash to ride around in such luxurios cars fitting for a king.

I don't remember the exact cost but wasn't the rear heat option for the
67-68's around $100 or so?. Even in 67-68 dollars I would consider that a
bargain.
I'm surprised there aren't more Imperials with the dual heat.
