How sure are you that you
have the proper flex plate and harmonic balancer?

Subject: Re: IML: My 65 Le Baron is
vibrating!!
like others have said , the mounts and or the exhaust could cause this.
but in my experience with broken mounts you will notice a thump when you step
on the gas ( even in park ) as the engine will rock to one side much more than
it should. I am assuming the engine is running good. and not have a miss . get
an assistant to help you. have you tried driving the car with the windows down
, if something is hitting the fram or somewhere under the car you should hear
something as well. good luck I believe you will solve this problem.

Just
dropped in a newly rebuilt engine, trans, and steering gear box. When
I drove it home, the passenger side area seemed to vibrate with the RPM's
(the entire car actually, but it is rreally pronounced on the passenger
side), as if the engine is somehow rubbing against the frame. I
haven't given it a serious look yet, though I intend to this
weekend.
Any Ideas what I should look for? Is it possible I
installed the motor mounts incorrectly, of course it's possible, how can I
tell?
Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanx. John. 1965 Imperial Le
Baron.
