The answer, like that to so many other engine related questions, is: it
depends.
In a stock setup, the air cleaner assembly is proper for your engine's
requirements. Now, the ifs start.
If you have modified your engine's flow characteristics, your stock air
cleaner lid is still good at least up to the RPM required to stimulate
anything higher than max flow before modification. This will probably
never happen a normal street driven car. Let's say you have increased max
flow by 10%. You have to spin
If your air cleaner lid was not previously restricting flow at high RPMs,
your stock lid is still good up to the RPM where that air cleaner is unable
to provide the flow the engine is demanding. This will probably never
happen in a normal street driven car.
Then, and only then, does your engine require a less restrictive assembly.
How do you know? Expensive time on the dyno. This will also probably
never happen in a normal street driven car.
Bottom line -- if you think you need more air, spend the money and get a
dual snorkel lid so you will sleep better at night. Even if you don't
actually need more air, it looks cool as hell.

Is there any advantage/improvement on engine/fuel performance by replacing
the single air intake with a duel on a 413.
