IML: Leather or Pleather?

That seat is genuine leather. You can tell by the relatively even stress 
cracking in the surface. The dye looks even and clean which might indicate 
that the piece of leather has been redyed.

Getting a feel of the under side of the material is the sure fire way of 
determining if its leather or vinyl. Vinyl will have a cloth fiber backing. 
Leather will feel of suede. Seat side bolsters were typically vinyl when a 
leather interior was ordered, so a feel of the inside of the seat bottom 
side material can be misleading.

Generally, you can spot the even stress cracking of leather throughout the 
surface where people have sat. Vinyl may have something similar but usually 
only in a single spot and in only one direction. And there is the aroma of 
the dye and tanning substances that fill an interior.

Looks like a nice seat.
