Hi Dr----2 years ago I  bought my 82 from Dave in Lacross,Wi who used 10-30
and had lifter noise---I asked him to put in 30W and he was surprised ---NO
lifter noise---I always try to use what makes engine sound better ---Its
still a quiet runner----Mike Popp
