Some '57 & up Imperials had a inner trunk lid panel cover that was made out of matching carpet with bound edges. I have only seen a two of these that were (apparently)factory, both were '60 models. There was a similar panel offered in '56 but it was made out of cardboard with the same fuzzy glued on finish of the side panels and binding to match the carpet. I have seen 4 '56 Imperials with this cover.
