67 LeBaron

Mike,

> Incidentally, if you really want some sick performance
I'm not looking to make the '67 into a XXL-GTX, just a cruiser. Highway
gears are fine. I have a '68 Barracuda (with the .484/284 cam) for going
fast. Dual exhaust is a given. I have a later ('70's) dual snorkel air
filter housing in inventory, as well as '68-69 unsilenced housing if I
decide to give it a try. Nothing crazier than that, unless I come across a
deal on a set of long rams...

> What state are you in?
I'm in PA. I have the ball rolling on the title, but it will just take some
time. No instant gratification on this one.

> As stated before, the '67 does have front disks,
I've heard horror stories about the Budd disk brakes from my C-body friends.
The A-bodies had 4-piston calipers in that era too, and they tend to have
the bores rust out and pistons stick. Not to mention that they are pricey.
I'm probably jumping the gun. I'll wait until it's home and I get a chance
to go through it before swapping stuff out. I never would have dreamed
Toyota rotors would be big enough for a near 5000lb car. I'll keep it in
mind.

By the way, what's the bolt pattern on a '67? I've seen 5x5" and 5x5.5"
listed out there. If it's 5x5, the mid '80's Rams and Ram Vans used that
bolt pattern. Has anyone explored their rotors? I like to keep it in the
family when I can.

Thanks for the tips. Hopefully I haven't sickened any purists.
