I've sold cars with no reserve quite a few times on eBay in the 5 or 6 years I've been cutting down my collection. I always start them at $100, and no reserve, and I always get fair market value (or more than that!) for them, so I trust the market place. We'll see, maybe I'm crazy, but I believe in eBay as a way to present one's goods to the widest possible audience, and that a good value will bring a fair price. The fact is, I am selling these cars because I am too old to start any more major projects, and now that the fire has given me probably a year of cleanup work to add to my worry list, I am going to sell off the cars that I am satisfied are as good as I think they should be. Once there is no need for my ministrations anymore on a car, I begin to get involved with other cars and lose interest in the completed ones. Besides all that, the fact is that I am not in need of the money, just the feeling that I don't have to feel responsible for the car anymore. Call me strange, but that's the way it is.
