The dash mounted rear view mirror is a great gadget IMHO.
The mirror eliminated an annoying blind spot that I still have with modern
cars.
Something I remember from my Dad's 55 New Yorker that I believe the 55-56
Imperials also had is a wonderful outside door handle. A push of the thumb
would bring the handle into your hand . Kind of subtle ,but made a big
impression on me as an eight year old .
This is probably not Imperial exclusive, but the southwind gas heat would
rate high on my gadget list.
Especially living here in Minnesota!.
