Re:The '65 on Ebay Santa comes a little early!

Hi,
Yes it looks like Santa came a little early for
Jeffie.
I had the great pleasure of being driven around
northern california by former IML member Mike Ulander
in that 65 Lebaron last January and was very impressed
with it. He drove at interstate speeds weaving
around in heavy traffic for 4 or 5 hours without it
missing a beat. He had just had the Tranny rebuilt
and aside from breaking the headligt glass on the way
to Lowell's place, it was an awesome trip. We even
had the honor of a ride in Jim Martins Limo and took
several picts of the 2 imperials together.
I love the 66 Lebaron seats with the huge Imperial
Eagle imprint on em and the car was in remarkable
condition. Coming from the Rust belt of Nebraska I am
always impressed with Rust free california sheet
metal!
I had been talking with mike the last time he listed
it and I believe the auction went to $2800 or so
without the reserve being met. Then he listed it
again and it only went to $2200 or so.
I almost bought it then but at $1250 i could not let
it go. I literally thought about it for 10 seconds
before hitting the Buy it now button!
The previous owner (before Mike) had $13000 in
receipts for repairs and I know Mike has done a bit to
it while he owned it.
I have seen derbiers pay more then that for Imps so I
jumped. I don't know why Mike listed it for so
little but I know he is a good man and the car is
great and I am thrilled to be getting it.
I prefer the 66 Claro walnut dash and the 66 seats so
I would not change a thing!

P.S. Here are a few more picts of the 65 Lebaron.
