http://www.robdiesel.com Enjoy it folks, that's me in the supercharged '55 Dodge truck playing around in a quiet parkinglot! (making the owner nervous) The camera picked up the roar and beltwhine quite well! The driveline is a 440 bored .030 over, 8:1 pistons with 6pack rods, balanced and all parts matched (incl ports) with a Mooneyham 6-71 supercharger with dual Holley's on top calibrated to match both engine and eachother. Behind that is a 4 speed that leads to a 3.55 suregrip and ends in two Mickey Thompson 15/60/295s. The engine was dropped down and back a bit to lower the center of gravity and to fit the blower under the stock hood. The frame was boxed and reinforced with various crossbeams so it wouldn't bend too much under power. The ignition is an MSD 6AL limited at 6000rpm with the ignition system on a separate and easy to remove plate under the dash. Bulkhead connector and engine/headlight harnesses are custommade of burnproof wire (can't melt the insulation if you try!) wrapped in a nylon mesh 'tube' to protect it even further, this is tied together with weatherproof quick disconnects. The steeringcolumn is out of a '67 Imperial and is a tilt-a-scope column, the pedal assembly is out of a mid-60's Dodge truck and it bolted right in. The power doorlocks and windows are out of a 1991 Chrysler LeBaron along with the flush doorhandles and inside controls. The runningboards are RhinoLined as is the firewall on the engineside and the inside of the cab. Carl http://www.robdiesel.com
