to hood ornament or not to hood ornament?

What could possibly be the reason for NOT putting them on?  The front of the '59 Imperial is so severely understated that it practically screams for the addition of a few more dollops of chrome!  When my '59 goes in for restoration in the next month or so, the addition of a hood ornament is at the top of the list.  I have one that is being sent out for re-chroming, and I can't wait to get it on the car.

My 1959 Imperial Le Baron did not have a hood ornament on it originaly, but I have aquired one, and the matching passenger rear view mirror. I think they would look great on the car, as I have seen few that have them. My question is, would their be any reason not to put these on?
