The sending unit should be at the front of the tank on the upper half,
usually the ground strap starts rusting which creates a bad conection.
Ground straps are available, but one can be made with wire, but the main
solution is having a good clean conection on the ground. This usually
takes care of the problem ,but there are times when you need to get a new
sending unit
