Please Welcome a New Member Craig Price (1953)

Craig;
 It sounds like you ended up with little more then a parts car I'm afraid.
Trim parts for 53' Imperials, or indeed any other Imperial from that era,
are hard to find. My car is relatively complete but it is still a hunt
looking for the pieces it does need. Its a shame someone butchered it so
badly and chucked the original drivetrain, the car originally had a 331 cu.
Hemi engine. If you want to find out what your car originally looked like
take a gander at the Imperials By Year section of the Imperial Club website.
As for the window moulding and instrument panel I believe that you might be
able to get those from an ordinary Chrysler, which are not nearly as
difficult to find.
Best Regards

Needing A Left Side Taillight Bezel and other trim parts.
P.S Do yourself a favor and stick a big block engine in there, maybe a 383
or 400 Chrysler, Imperials are heavy cars.
