Substitute fender pentastars

The original metal (aluminun) pentastar was part number 2445 182.

The plastic pentastar arrived in 1966, and was part number 2785 540.

Not too sure how long the metal one was around, but the plastic one lasted
into the 1970's. Not sure if 1971 or 1972 was the last year for the
penastar medallion. But both have a main prong for a speednut and another
smaller prong to keep the medallion in place. The two are interchangeable.

Have never seen a 1990's star, but I suspect it is a stick-on part as most
medallions and nameplates became in the 1980's.

----- Original Message ----- I do recall that some Chryslers of the 90's
had the pentastar on the right fender..that looked like they would work for
the older Chryslers. I know mine has a prong on the back of it..not sure
about the newer ones. I just thought I would mention this in case anyone is
in need of..........

The newer fender pentastars are plastic, not metal. Repros of the metal
ones are available.
