Thanks Dan for the info, i always thought it was a fault in the 15 miles of wire that make up the loom so it is a relief that the flashing light is intentional. I have had the alt light stay on once when the ignition was turned off this turned out to be a dry connection on the plug on the volt reg. Neil 82 Imp London, England.
