Fuel Pump Problem?

My '52 sedan had a chronic vapor lock problem when the previous owner had
it.

I believe that he solved it by slightly rerouting the steel fuel line so
that it did not get as hot.

Whatever he did fixed it, since the car no longer has that problem.
