The Forward Look- more than just fins, and some added thoughts...

Let me straighten this out. The 60 Ford was not a true finned car. It was 
designed by legendary auto designer Alex Tremulis(48 Tucker) under the firm 
supervision of Elwood Engel who would soon afterwards jump to Chrysler. If 
you know anything about Engel is that he loathed tailfins. The pointed ends 
of the fenders of the 60 Ford, now called "rabbit ears" by enthusiasts were 
not fins because Engel would never have approved a design featuring fins. As 
for the 59 Impala, its fins are not canted, they are horizontal. Now that's 
enough sacrilige for one day, let's get back to Imperials.
