Stages of Imperial Ownership

My sudden burning need for a new vinyl top-- as if I were a crack addict
trying to think of ways to improve my old car "high"-- got me to
thinking about the stages of Imperial ownership I have gone through.
Here they are, in rough form:

1.  Gee, wouldn't it be cool to have an old Imperial someday?
    (I was in this stage for roughly 30 years)
2.  Wow, suddenly I have enough money to buy an old Imperial!
    (bought my first at 40)
3.  Sure is fun having an old Imperial
4.  Hmm . . . wouldn't it be more fun having another old Imperial??
5.  (INTERMEDIATE STAGE)  But what would the neighbors think, me having
2 old cars?
6.  To heck with the neighbors, I'm getting it.
7.  Sure is fun having 2 old Imperials
8.  I'll just check the internet to see if there's anything interesting
out there . . .
9.  Geez, if I get a 2nd mortgage on the house I could probably get a
3rd Imperial
10.  Mortgaging the house

And so on.  I don't know where this ends up . . .  anybody?
