A fire will normally not affect a block or heads. If
you're going to put a "new" engine into your car, your
machinist can probably do wonders with your current charred
block. Only an incredibly hot, long term fire would do any
damage, and if the rest of the car is OK to keep, then the
engine should not be melted or anything.
My buddy's truck burned, melting the fiberglass front
hood/cowl assembly. This recently-rebuilt motor was
cleaned with a wire wheel and repainted - ran without
problem and was installed into another vehicle without
mechanical problem after the soft parts were replaced.

The club's vendor site should yeild a good used one.
Lowll Howe has a few, as should the other vendors there.
