Auto manufacturers will occasionally bring back a nameplate to use past interest to sell their new product.  A good example of this is the Impala name used by Chevrolet.  Their marketing is designed to stir the heart of their target market, regardless of the differences in the product.

Every Imperial owner probably has their favorites, and although some years may have no real connection to others in design or quality, the manufacturer chose to use the Imperial name on their product, and one of "us" decided to buy it.

This is a hobby of choice, and this group represents that choice.  The benefit that each of "us" has is the ability make the decision to own or not own a particular year or model of hobby vehicle.

The manufacture's decision to use or resurrect a model name is based upon their marketing department, not upon what the hobbiest feels is right.

Our voice is in our purchasing power.

Sincerely,
