OUR IMPERIAL ROSE

List,

There are many beautiful things in the world, and one of the most beautiful is the Rose, especially the Imperial Rose.  This is the only rose that I know of named after an automobile, but perhaps there are others.  This season our Imperial Rose has grown to well over five feet tall, and now has a total of about fourteen blooms or buds.

The blooms on our Imperial Rose are rather large, a very deep red color, so deep that there is a tinge of black in the center and along the edge of the petals.  Not only is your visual senses pleased when gazing at this rose but your sense of smell also, as there is a very strong scent that would do justice to the most expensive perfumes.

Our Imperial Rose was a gift from an Imperial Friend in France.  It was sent in a cardboard tube, and on arrival looked dead, about the poorest example of a rose that can be imagined, so Marietta and I had little hope that it would survive, and if it did, would not amount to much.  Marietta, using her green thumb, planted this rose, and during the last several years it has been in three different locations on our lawn, and with each move seems to flourish.

Compliment your Imperial by planting an Imperial Rose.
