car hauler

A year ago, we used Admiral Merchants Motor Freight to ship our non-operable '64 Crown from Modesto, CA to Columbus, OH.  Driver picked up car on date requested, was courteous and professional (truck/trailer were a bit "tired")... our car had to be towed to a load area and winched by tow truck (cable across trailer bed) onto trailer.  Dispatchers  were responsive to our requests for "status"... They did switch trailers in Indiana, as original driver was diverted to Chicago, but the car arrived (better truck) in Columbus in a reasonable timeframe, unscathed (open flat top trailers).  Cost was $800 (a year ago), pick-up driver paid towing fee.

Anyone have a "bad" experience with then, please pipe-in....

Subject: IML: car hauler

Anyone know of a good reasonably priced car hauler?  Need to get a car from near Denver, CO to near Portland, OR.

I hired a guy in March who guaranteed to pick up the car in April and the last week in April his driver blew through Denver, no advance notice, and didn't get the car.  Name of Kiwi Auto Transport, Lindsay King, stay away from that one.

Now I'm looking at storage charges and a mad seller.
