torqueflite questions

Your kick down rod has a nut L/S engine where carb rod is lousen it then while holding the gas rod back toward the fire wall (engine not running) which is full throttle, then pull UP on the kick down rod and tighten the nut. That is the common adjustment for a Manuel kick down adjustment.
kick down rod to long= trans down shifs long, Trans kick down short= trans down shift sooner.

Subject: IML: torqueflite questions

Hi all
I have someminor problems with the trans of my 57
I would like to install a inline oilfilter just to feel safe
what kind of filter can I use ? will a fuel filter work or is a oil filter
the right thing
I know that in the USA you can get special filters for this but here in The
Netherlands
Its hard and expencive to get And as I'm Dutch I like things cheap.
Further the kickdown is not working as it should be
Above 45 mph I don't get any downshift
at about 40 its works well and than shifts to 3 th at 85 mph but only at WOT
When I only give about half trottle I have no downshift even at 20 mph trans
just stays in 3 th
Will this hurt the trans ? I have a extra trans oil cooler instaled.
But the floor above the trans gets HOT doI need a bigger cooler or just
isolate the floor beter
Thanks Remco
