First up cruise of the year, folks. The 10th Annual Valentines Tour, Saturday February 16th. Starts just north of Fredericksburg at 9:00, and ends at Junction, which is about 30 more miles west of Kerrville. This is a magnificent event. Lot of people with some serious money and serious collections take part in this one, but they still let chumps like me take part, so they ain't snobs, either. The day begins at a private ranch, where a breakfast will be served, plus a tour of the owners car collection. The tour proper will begin, at this is one of the best. Last year I went on some roads I had never encountered before and I have little doubt that this year will provide even better scenery through the Hill Country. Lunch is a picnic affair. There will be a visit to at least one more private car collection before arriving at Junction. There is always a dinner at the end of this cruise, and this year is no exception. The cost is very reasonable, $10.00, as is the accommodation that has been arranged at the Slumber Inn, $37.00 plus tax. Last year there were some fifty cars. Of these maybe half were Mopars. There were two Imperials, my 58 and a wonderful '64 from Beaumont. Did I say Beaumont? I certainly did. This tour is so good that some list members from Beaumont, which is just about Louisiana if your brakes ain't working too good and you get a good head start heading east from Houston, attend just about every year. Last year was my first year. The weather was cool and crisp. Just perfect for cruising. If you want to go or need more details, just let me know. Hugh
