I want to alter the speedo in my 57 imp
So it would look like a export speedo
Here in the europe we use kmh instead of mph
This is what I want to do
I make a 1.6 to 1 ratio on the speedo cable with one 20 teeth and one 32
teeth wheels
This way the odometer will give me Km instead of miles
And the speedomether KMH instead of MPH
I can make a new dial than goes to 260 KMH
Have the paint that makes the numbers licht up in the dark
When I alter the tension of the spring that holds the needle back
I must be able to get the corect speedo reading I think ( hope )
Now I would like to know if I realy have a chance that this will work
Or is there a easy way to do this
I know it is not original but I have a extra speedo incase it wont work
