1976 NYB Radio

Alan;
  Sometimes weak reception can be caused by a bad connection between the
radio and the antenna. There should be a plug that goes into the back of the
radio and some sort of large spade connector attaching the wire to the
bottom of the antenna. Look for corrosion at this connector, a loose
connection between it and the antenna, or a broken wire. Check this out
first before you break out your wallet and have the radio worked on.
