hi,If this is a fairly common problem and fits several years , we could possibly make an injection mold I manufacture it .. I have access milling an injection molding equipment,. I would need to hear from more club members about possible quantities though. Let me know if there is some interest.ThanksRuss61impcoupeIn a message dated 2/13/2008 10:02:39 A.M. The driver side electric window on my 67 Crown quick working recently.
I was able to move the window up and down manually so I suspected the
plastic gear in the motor housing was broken. After taking it apart
last night I discovered my suspicions were correct.
I remembered seeing posts from other members regarding this topic in
the past and the mention that repair kits were available at one of the
major-chain parts houses like Kragen or Napa. Well I unsuccessfully
searched Kragen, RockAuto, PartsAmerica and Napa. I got nothing.
Then I searched the club web site looking for information regarding
electric window repair and again I turned up nothing. I'm sure the
information is there, it's just a user-interface issue. (me the user,
not interfacing well with the computer)
Does someone with a memory better than mine know where I can find that
little plastic gear?
Thanks
Ken
