IML: fuel Filter replacement

I want to change my fuel filter on a fuel injected 90 Imperial. Can I pull the fuel pump fuse and run the engine until it dies to depressurize the system? Will the system pressurize back up to it's right level when I go to start it? Thanks- Anthony
