Rebuilding an AFB doesn't take all that long. It is a very basic carburetor. The soaking part is the longest part. But you don't have to sit there and watch that process, just as you don't sit and watch grass grow. The whole process disassembling and reassembling shouldn't take more then 2 to 3 hours maximum. It is best to let all the non rubber parts soak in solvent at least a couple hours. Over nite is better yet. Don't soak any rubber parts or vacuum diaphragms in solvent. It will ruin them.
