Subject: IML: 1967 Window motors
A clean window mechanism with a good motor
should shoot those windows up and down faster than
modern tastes would dictate is safe.
That's for sure. I have a 'slow' window in my Crown, and every time I use
it I think 'dang, I really ought to take the door apart and fix that - too
bad it's such a nasty job'.
Then I drive my wife's '00 Intrepid R/T (or somebody else's new car) and
I about fall over laughing because their power windows are slower than my
'slow' one.
I really do need to clean and lube them, though.
