All the advice Dan has gotten is good, but....
this car was just returned from a shop where it had a complete tune up, 
including timing and carb adjustment.  Sounds like they didn't do such a hot 
job.  At a minimum they should have mentioned the rough running and advised 
what they thought might cure it (new tank, etc).  I'd call them up and ask.  
Do it NOW.
