Re: IML: Cleaning Landau/Vinyl Roof?

The main feature about using these floor waxes is that they are acrylic which will preserve/protect the top, and they dry hard and clear without running down the windows in the rain. I have also had success with FUTURE. It is vital that the top be cleaned thoroughly, even deep down in the grain. If not, two conditions could result. The first is the obvious entrapment of dirt, the second is that since these products are repelled by other waxes and treatments, they will "bead-up" upon application, instead of lay evenly and dry to a gloss.

Clean as you see fit.

I used an SOS pad with lots of water (steel wool
impregnated with soap).

I then put (sparingly) Mop-N-Glow ($7.99 at the
supermarket) on and it looks great. There are
probably more appropriate treatments, but it worked
for me.
