If you were to do this at a car wash facility, wouldn't they give you grief about making an oily and greasy mess of the car wash port? I mean, all this stuff has to wash off to some where right? GASKET", THAT GOES OVER THE CARB AND IS HELD DOWN BY THE AIR CLEANER NUT. THIS MADE IT EASY TO CLEAN THE ENGINE WITHOUT THE WORRY OF WATER OR CHEMICALS GOING DOWN THE CARB. STILL, IT AIN'T NO FUN CLEANING AN ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND IT WILL LOOK BETTER WHILE IT IS WET THAN WHEN IT DRIES! JERRY, '81 F.S.

approximately
5 minutes then hose it off with a garden hose. Be sure to cover the carburetor with something that won't come off while spraying. I use
some
heavy duty plastic sheet and duct tape it really good around the
carburetor.
You can scrub the Simple Green with a plastic brush to get the big
chunks
off before you spray. Though the engine itself doesn't look too bad everything surrounding
it does
. If I head down to the local car wash with a roll of quarters and a
can of
engine degreaser will I end up damaging something with the high
pressure
spray? Does anyone think that a SOS pad with a garden hose would work as
well?.
Would a SOS pad damage the paint? Anyone have any tricks to making the under hood area of an Imperial
look
good? (without pulling the engine) Clay Smith 60 Custom 67 Crown Coupe
