I'm not sure I fully understand what you are describing. From the way I take it, there may be a lot of crud under the mouldings that is letting the rain back up.

The other day it was raining and I looked into the open cab of the 62 Crown
Cpe.  I felt glad that I had taken the seats and etc out because the rain
running off the roof, to the roof side molding was just ah pouring on the inside of the rear left window. I have never touched this part of the car ... yet. It appears the water was at the start of the rear slant of the rear window, and
the window was up.

No, the wind and rain was not coming from the driver's side.

I am open to all correct fix it corrections, since I can guess as good as the
best.
