Paul,As you know, I have a 56 Sedan which I believe is reasonably similar to the 55. One of the very first things I did when I got the car in '03 was to add seatbelts to all six seating positions as I do drive the car with some frequency. I purchased belts from The Andover Companies via their website (http://www.andoauto.com). The belts were of excellent quality and the installation hardware and instructions were very good and easy to follow. In short, it simply requires drilling some holes into the floorboards behind the front seat and installing the appropriate hardware (the belts are available with some options which are detailed very well on the website). Fortunately I haven't had the occasion to find out if they really work and hope I never do.

you know we can't write back to the list from this e-mail address...I have a question which I wonder if you would like to help us post to the IML. We'we been thinking of putting seat belts into our car but so far we just
thoughtabout it. However, only a couple of weeks ago a married couple we know of were
in aterrible accident with their vintage Plymouth. They were hit in the side by a
carnot respecting a stop sign and the woman was thrown out of the car getting
serious head fractures. This made us decide to put seat belts into our car but we would for sure want
sometips on where to get them and how to install them in the best way. Any other
peopleon the IML who has done this? What companies could we use as a source? How
should we install the front ones? Any comments would be highly appreciated! ----------------- http://www.imperialclub.com -----------------This message was sent to you by the Imperial Mailing List.
