RE: IML: Spark plugs for a 68 - 440

I've read (and experienced personally) that platinum plugs in older cars are not a good mix. Even my '93 Jeep would not run well on them, and I've heard similar stories on many Mopars (never tried them in any of my 2000+ Mopars).

There is a large contingent of IMLers who have had excellent running and long-lasting performance from the Autolites, so regardless of price, they seem to be the best bet.

By the way, I'm not anti-Bosch nor anti-platinum in the appropriate car. My import cars love them, and since they promote themselves so much, they're often the lowest-priced plug in the store anyway. I even installed a set this weekend in a buddy's Saturn!

Just my additional $0.02!
