You have helped me in the past so I figured I would give it one more try. I have a 1965 Chrysler Imperial Crown Coupe that has a miss and a shake only when I am in drive. I have changed plugs, wires, dist. Cap, rotor, and set points to 17, and timing. The carburetor has been blown out extensively but I continue to get the shake and the hesitation as I accelerate on the gas. What am I missing? Please HELP! I agree with the gentleman that stated the battery cable could be the issue because I just fixed the exact same problem I was having with my 65 Imperial. And to the others that responded you would not be able to jump it from the relay that it totally incorrect, it can be jumped from the relay or the starter. Is this vacuum switch a 50's thing? I've never heard of them, but all my cars are '70 and up.
