Indeed, the turbine was one of Engel's first designs with Chrysler, and it was loosely based on some Thunderbird clays he had overseen while at ford. I think there are some real good B&W photos of all of this in the website under the Turbine car. Kenyon and the guys have this area well covered with some unique literature.
