I wouldn't compress the bellows. I know someone that had a 59 & did damage
by compressing the bellows.
I have a 60 with the metal booster & I use a small funnel with a piece of
rubber hose attached to it. No fuss at all using this method.

i9 need to check the brake fluid level in the master cylinder on our 57
imperial , the difficuty is with the bellows resticting access to the m/c
top . is there a way of compressing the bellows or a method of
checking/topping up the m/c that i am unaware of . i am a total novice at
these things but willing to learn
