RE: IML: imperial brake problem

My guess would be that you got a bad rebuilt master cylinder – they should not stick unless pressure is remaining in the lines.  I’m betting the master cylinder wasn’t rebuilt right, or else the pedal linkage is set wrong and the compensator port is not being opened when the pedal retracts.  Did you have to adjust the push rod when you changed the master cylinder, or did you notice any problem with the linkage from the pedal to the booster?

Subject: IML: imperial brake problem

I had a leaking master cylinder on my 81 and I just changed it a couple of days ago,the brakes were fine except for the leak.now the brakes are sticking and this is the first time driven,I have not looked into it yet as it just happened so I m not sure if its the front or rear.the park brake is not on at least by the pedal anyway, what could be the trouble here?thanks.
